ETBU Honors Retiree Martha Moore
The afternoon the Office of Administration and Finance of ETBU held a retirement reception to honor Coordinator of Accounts Payable, Martha Moore, snow could be seen falling through the windows of the Phillips Great Room. It might have been cold outside but the love expressed to Martha warmed many hearts during her reception. She retires after 24 years of service to ETBU.
“We are so thankful for your faithful service to East Texas Baptist University,” said ETBU President Dr. Dub Oliver, during the presentation. “On behalf of all of us here, I want to express our gratefulness for the example of service you have set, your good humor, and your warm friendship to all of us.”
Dr. Oliver presented her with an engraved decorative crystal bowl as a token of appreciation for her service. While holding the gift he read the inscription to the crowd, “Martha Moore, in appreciation of faithful service, 24 years, East Texas Baptist University.”
ETBU Director of Financial Services, Richard Hutsell, who has been working with Martha for 17 years, presented her another gift: a wooden rocking chair. He said to Martha, “May you have many years of happiness rocking your grandkids.”
“I don’t know what to say. I love you. God bless all of you,” Moore said in gratitude to the people in attendance at the reception.
Dr. Oliver closed the presentation with prayer, giving thanks to God for Martha’s faithful service to ETBU.
