etbu centennial hall groundbreaking 3Students, faculty, staff, trustees and friends of East Texas Baptist University gathered April 16 for the ceremonial groundbreaking for Centennial Hall. The 362 bed student living-learning community is scheduled to open August 2014 and will be located west of the Ornelas Spiritual Life Center.

“This is an exciting day at ETBU,” said Dr. Dub Oliver, ETBU President. “Centennial Hall will meet a critical need for our campus. One of the defining characteristics of the ETBU experience is the close community we offer. That community is built on strong social interactions between and among students, faculty, and staff. Having a residence hall that facilitates such interaction will only serve to enhance and strengthen our students’ learning experience. This project, when it is completed, will help us more fully realize our mission.”
