FALL 2015 BLACKBOARD COURSES  This is a new post.

       Dear ETBU Faculty
It's time to create the Blackboard Courses for Fall 2015. We'll be activating that process on Friday (May 8th) at 3:00 pm. Below is a checklist of items you'll need to complete before the courses are created

1) Check all current Master Course Templates (these are the courses you created with the "_99" at the end of the course ID) and update them with any new menus and/or items that you want reflected in the Fall 2015 course.

2) Add the new Attendance button to all of your current Master Course Templates (see link below)

       Please join us in Baker Auditorium for our ETBU community end of year worship service. We will come together as a community to thank God for His direction, guidance, and provision. Tuesday, May 5 at 11:45. The end of year slideshow displaying some of the highlights from the year will begin at 11:30. Following the service we will adjourn to the 2nd floor of the Student Center to enjoy our end of year fellowship meal. I look forward to being together on Tuesday.

       Blackboard will be performing maintenance on May the 8th between 2:00AM and 6:00AM early Friday morning. Blackboard anticipates no more than 15 minutes of Service interruption during that window early Friday morning. Please plan accordingly for this service interruption. ETBU HOLDS SPRING COMMENCEMENT, 126 RECEIVE DEGREES
 
   MARSHALL, Texas (5/04/15) - East Texas Baptist University held Spring Commencement in two sessions on Saturday, May 2, 2015 in Baker Auditorium of the Ornelas Spiritual Life Center. ETBU Interim President Dr. Lawrence Ressler presided over the ceremony.

ETBU TRUSTEES APPROVE 2015-2016 BUDGET
 
   MARSHALL, Texas (5/01/15) - The East Texas Baptist University Board of Trustees met in regular session on Friday and approved a $38.7 million operating budget for the 2015-2016 academic year. This represents a 3.7% increase over the current years' budget. The 2015-2016, which takes effect, June 1, includes over $10.2 million for student scholarships, an increase of 3.1% over the current budget.

ETBU HONORS RETIREE DR. DONNA H. DOOLEY, DEAN OF THE SCHOOL OF EDUCATION
 
   MARSHALL, Texas (4/28/15) - The School of Education at East Texas Baptist University hosted a retirement reception for its Dean, Dr. Donna H. Dooley. The reception was attended by family, friends, students, faculty and staff and held in the Phillips Great Room of the Bennett Student Commons on Friday afternoon, April 24, 2015.

ETBU FALLS IN ASC CHAMPIONSHIP GAME
 
   SC CHAMPIONSHIP: TYLER, Texas (5/3/15) - Playing each other for the sixth time this season and third in the American Southwest Conference Tournament #3 East Texas Baptist University fell in the championship game to #2 Texas-Tyler, 6-1. Texas-Tyler scored six runs in back-to-back innings in the second and third to take the momentum.

   ASC BASEBALL CHAMPIONSHIP: RICHARDSON, Texas (5/3/15) - With some help on Saturday from other American Southwest Conference teams the East Texas Baptist University baseball team has made the post-season tournament for the second time in three years. ETBU will be the #6 seed in the eight team tournament.

UTT FORCES ETBU TO FINAL GAME IN ASC TOURNAMENT
 
   ASC CHAMPIONSHIP TOURNAMENT: TYLER, Texas (5/2/2015) - A classic American Southwest Conference softball game came down to the end, again, as #2 Texas-Tyler trumped #3 East Texas Baptist University in extra innings, 4-3, on a walk-off solo home run in the bottom of the ninth inning. The win for Texas-Tyler forces another ASC Tournament Championship game at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday.

ETBU EARNS SPOT IN ASC TOURNAMENT SPLITTING SERIES WITH LC
 
   BASEBALL: MARSHALL, Texas (5/2/15) -Needing just one win to seal up a spot in next weekend?s ASC Tournament, the East Texas Baptist University baseball team split a doubleheader with Louisiana College on the final day of the regular season. LC took the first game 6-5, and in what proved to be an elimination game by virtue of Howard Payne sweeping their series with Sul Ross State, ETBU dominated with a 12-1 win in game two to get into the ASC Tournament, where they will be the #6 seed.

MOMENTUM PLAYS; BIG HITTING ADVANCE ETBU TO ASC CHAMPIONSHIP GAME
 
   ASC CHAMPIONSHIP TOURNAMENT: TYLER, Texas (5/1/15) - Explosive hitting and heads up defensive plays were the key for #3 East Texas Baptist University as they advanced to the American Southwest Conference Tournament Championship game over #2 Texas-Tyler, 4-1. ETBU scored three runs in the final two innings with two home runs for the three-run win extending their win streak to 19 games and improving to 33-2 overall.

LC SLIPS BY ETBU IN GAME 1 OF ASC SERIES
 
   BASEBALL: (5/1/15) - MARSHALL, Texas - In a hard fought game between two teams that needed the win to position themselves for the conference tournament, Louisiana College defeated East Texas Baptist 2-1. Despite a total of 15 hits in the game, only three runs scored. Tyler Lamers picked up the win for LC to improve to 4-7 while Kirby Moore took the loss to drop to 5-3.

ASC: ETBU HOLDS OFF LC, 5-3, ADVACING IN TOURNAMENT
 
   ASC SOFTBALL TOURNAMENT: TYLER, Texas (4/30/15) - It took just one inning for #3 East Texas Baptist University to score enough runs giving Shelby Parker the backing she needed as the Tigers won their first round game in the American Southwest Conference Tournament, 5-3, over Louisiana College. ETBU moves their winning streak to 18-games and now will have a NFCA top three showdown on Friday against #2 Texas-Tyler at 4:00 p.m.

LADY TIGER SOFTBALL BEGINS ASC TOURNAMENT PLAY
 
   ASC SOFTBALL TOURNAMENT: MARSHALL, Texas (4/30/15) - Pursuing their eighth American Southwest Conference tournament championship this week, East Texas Baptist University opens up play on Thursday at 4:00 p.m. ETBU will be playing in their 16th straight ASC Tournament and have won seven championships.
