SCHEDULE FOR SPIRITUAL RENEWAL WEEK

       Spiritual Renewal Week is Feb 2-4. Services will be held Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday at 10:00am and Monday and Tuesday at 8:00 pm. To accommodate the Tuesday service we adjust the 8:00 and 9:30 Tuesday classes. The 8:00-9:20 class is 8:00-8:50 and the 9:30-10:50 class is 9:00-9:50. Following chapel at 10:00 the schedule for the remainder of the day remains the same. Please be in prayer for our students.

       1/28/15 - Sweet & Sour Chicken over white rice. Beef and bean burritos with ranch style beans. Omelet bar.
1/29/15 Chili bar. Bacon, bleu and corn potato bowl. Chicken nuggets with macaroni and cheese.
1/30/15 Buffalo style chicken wings. Fried catfish with au gratin potatoes. Sesame tofu with shitaki mushrooms over jasmine rice.
2/2/15 Glazed ham with scalloped potatoes. Beef phily chili on focaccia. 2/3/15 Mediterranean spinach wrap. Chicken and dumplings with roaster corn.
2/4/15 Chicken nugget bar with fries. pork loin with sweet potatoes.

TRAVEL TO THE HOLY LAND

       Dear ETBU community,
As most of you are aware, our students had the privilege of visiting the Holy Land for the past two years as part of their travel study. We are happy to announce that our students are traveling to the Holy land again in the month of May 2015. First of all, we solicit your earnest prayers, and secondly, if you are interested in traveling with us, please contact me as soon as you can. We are finalizing our list before the end of this month (January). Please make use of this "once in a life time opportunity." God Bless!

       The GCC is looking for Faculty, staff and students who have traveled or lived overseas to host tables about the country they are interested in on the evening of February 11. The International Fair draws children from Marshall and the surrounding area to ETBU for an evening of fun and learning as we show them how God is working throughout the world. ETBU SCHOOL OF HUMANITIES PLANS TRIP TO THE HOLY LAND, MAY 11-23
 
   MARSHALL, Texas (1/29/15) - Have you ever thought about "what is it like to walk where Jesus walked?" The East Texas Baptist University School of Humanities is providing this "once in a life time opportunity" for the Marshall community to travel to Israel this May with students, and experience the wonders of the Holy Land in person. The Holy Land trip is scheduled for May 11-23.

ETBU DEPARTMENT OF THEATRE ARTS PRESENTS ALMOST MAINE, FEB. 12-15
 
   MARSHALL, Texas (1/27/15) - The Department of Theatre Arts at East Texas Baptist University proudly presents the Discovery Series production of Almost, Maine by John Cariani, directed by senior Samantha Pettigrew. Performances will be in the Black Box Theatre of the Jenna Guest Music Building February 12-14 at 7:30 p.m. and February 15 at 2:30 p.m. Tickets are $5.00 general admission or free with an ETBU ID.

SAMUEL'S BIG NIGHT LEADS ETBU OVER OZARKS
 
   BASKETBALL (M): CLARKSVILLE, Ark. (1/29/15) -Jamil Samuel had his fourth double-double of the season with 16 points and 17 rebounds to propel East Texas Baptist University to their fifth straight win, defeating Ozarks 72-64. This win moves ETBU to 9-4 in conference and 14-4 overall, now just one game behind Mary Hardin-Baylor for second in the conference.

LADY TIGERS FALL SHORT AT OZARKS
 
   BASKETBALL (W): CLARKSVILLE, Ark. (1/29/15) - Amanda Rucker kept up her pace to score 1,000 career points with 25 tonight to lead East Texas Baptist University in a losing effort against the University of the Ozarks 78-69. Rucker also led the team with nine rebounds and three steals and needs just 10 points to reach a thousand points.

AWARD: PRICE VOTED AS ASC'S DISTINGUISHED SCHOLAR
 
   AMERICAN SOUTHWEST CONFERENCE: RICHARDSON, Texas (1/30/15) ? East Texas Baptist University men?s cross country runner Landon Price has been awarded a prestigious academic award from the American Southwest Conference as the distinguished scholar athlete for his sport. He is the first for ETBU to receive this award under Natalie Bach-Prather.

ROAD TRIP TO OZARKS & UT-TYLER ON SCHEDULE FOR TIGERS
 
   BASKETBALL(M): MARSHALL, Texas (1/28/15) - Coming off four straight wins the East Texas Baptist University men's basketball team has ascended back to third in the ASC standings. ETBU sits just two games behind second place Mary Hardin-Baylor. This week ETBU goes on the road to take on Ozarks and Texas-Tyler.

ETBU SAAC RAISES OVER $220 FOR MISSION MARSHALL
 
   MARSHALL, Texas (1/16/15) - Reaching out to help the Marshall community the East Texas Baptist University Student-Athlete Advisory Committee had the annual "Make A Change" night raising funds and getting donations for Mission Marshall and the Clothes Depot. This is an event sponsored by the American Southwest Conference every year and the SAAC delegates run the event.

ETBU HAS 34 FALL ATHLETES ON ASC ALL-ACADEMIC TEAM
 
   AMERICAN SOUTHWEST CONFERENCE: RICHARDSON, Texas (1/26/15) - East Texas Baptist University had 34 student-athletes earn American Southwest Conference All-Academic awards for their fall semester.

Women's soccer recorded the most for ETBU with eight overall along with football on the men's side.
