NEW MEDICAL ID CARDS

       You will be receiving a new medical ID card in the mail by the end of December. The change will be a new address for the third party administrator. There are no changes to medical or drug plan benefits for 2015. If you do not receive a new card, do not panic, your current card will continue to work for now. Contact Kathy Bland, Ext. 2122, or Lisa Sutton, Ext. 2120, if you should have questions.

       ALL FACULTY- Grade posting for Fall 2014 is now open. Please remember that ALL grades are due to be submitted via FAS by noon on Monday, Dec. 22nd following graduation. Due to the short two day work week next week we must have grades by noon, no exceptions, this year. If you have outstanding grades beyond the noon deadline for a student, that student will receive a "No Grade" (NG) for your class, and an official request for a grade change form will have to be filed by you for each student who was given an 'NG' for your course before it can be changed. Please note that not submitting a grade for a student may severely jeopardize his/her Financial Aid, athletic eligibility, etc. So it is very ...

ETBU ANNOUNCES KEYNOTE SPEAKER FOR FALL COMMENCEMENT ON DEC. 20TH
 
   MARSHALL, Texas (12/18/14) - The Office of Academic Affairs at East Texas Baptist University announces that the former Baptist General Convention of Texas (BGCT) Director of the Texas Baptist Christian Life Center and director for the Advocacy Care Center and current Executive Coordinator of the Cooperative Baptist Fellowship (CBF) Suzii Paynter will be the keynote speaker for Fall Commencement. The CBF is a Christian network comprised of people and churches that work together to inspire good in the world. Fall Commencement will be held on Saturday, December 20, 2014, at 10:00 a.m. in Baker Auditorium of the Ornelas Spiritual Life Center.

ETBU DEBATE FINDS SUCCESS IN MISSISSIPPI
 
   MARSHALL, Texas (12/09/14) - The East Texas Baptist University debate team travelled to Clinton, Mississippi December 5-6 to compete in the 2014 Mississippi College Deep South Debate Tournament. After two days of competition, the ETBU team finished in fourth place, just two points behind the third place team, The University of Southern Mississippi.

   NEW YORK, N.Y. (12/15/14) - Picking up more awards for the 2014 season, East Texas Baptist University had five players earn All-American awards from the USA Football Network. Stephen Alfred, Kendall Roberson, Josh Warbington, Tyler Bates, and Dylan Bowman all received awards.

   BASKETBALL (W): RICHARDSON, Texas (12/15/16) - Averaging a double-double last week, East Texas Baptist University women's basketball player Amber Carver has been named the American Southwest Conference Player of the Week. This is the first time ETBU has had a player of the week since February 19, 2013, when April Leonard was given the award.

   BASKETBALL (W): MARSHALL, Texas (12/13/14) - For the second straight game, Malaisia Chisholm provided a crucial lift off the bench. She scored 15 points off the bench and recorded three assists and a steal in ETBU's big win over Rust College, 87-62.

   BASKETBALL (M): MARSHALL, Texas (12/13/14) - After trailing by one at halftime, ETBU came out firing on all cylinders in the second half to earn their sixth straight win to open the season by defeating Rust College 82-67.
