 OPERA THEATRE PRESENTS

The School of Fine Arts Opera Theatre is proud to present Gian-Carlo Menotti's Amelia Goes to the Ball, on Thursday, February 27, Friday, February 28, and Saturday, March 1, at 7:30 p.m. in Mabee Recital Hall in the Jenna Guest Music Building. This one-act comic opera is set in Milan in 1910 and follows the antics of Amelia, an upper-middle-class woman who is preparing for the most important social event of the season, and the obstacles that she faces and conquers in her pursuit to get to the ball.

For those who have never seen an opera or perhaps think they dislike opera, Amelia Goes to the Ball may change your mind. The opera is in English, it is fun, and it runs about an hour. We hope that you will come and support our students in this fully staged production with orchestra. Seating is limited and reservations may be made online (http://www.etbu.edu/fine-arts/department-music/box-office/) or by calling 903-923-2294. Tickets are $5 or free with an ETBU ID.
