MARSHALL, Texas (2/9/12) – East Texas Baptist’s 2012 football schedule begins with the Tigers playing just one home game through the first week of October but closing with three out of four games to be played in Ornelas Stadium against conference opponents.

This endowed program commemorates the late U.S. Representative and federal judge Sam B. Hall, Jr., who was a Marshall native and an alumnus of the College of Marshall, which is now ETBU.
ETBU To Host Shadow Day, February 9-10, 2012
MARSHALL, Texas (2/06/12)-High School seniors and college transfer students are invited to attend Shadow Day at East Texas Baptist University Thursday, February 9, through Friday, February 10, 2012. Shadow Day is an event sponsored by the ETBU Office of Admissions that gives visiting students an opportunity to experience campus life at the four year Christian liberal arts university.
Softball Opens at No. 19 in NFCA Top 25

ETBU Students Enjoy Eye Opening Trip To Ethiopia
This article includes a photograph MARSHALL, Texas (1/31/12)- “Eye opening,” is the sentiment of 12 East Texas Baptist University students who experienced a 10-day mission trip to Ethiopia during the Christmas break. The long journey from campus to Bona, a small village in southern Ethiopia, was the first ETBU student trip to the area. The final leg of the journey to arrive in Bona was a five hour bus trip, with the last four traveled on a very bumpy, dirt road. The whole ministry trip had over 90 hours of travel.

MARSHALL, Texas (1/25/12) - The East Texas Baptist University School of Fine Arts will present Opera in the Attic, February 2 and 3 at 7:30 p.m. and February 4 at 2:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. The performances will be held in the Mabee Recital Hall of the Jenna Guest Music Building and will include scenes from The Mikado, Don Giovanni, Ballad of Baby Doe, The Magic Flute, Dialogue of the Carmelites, Die Fledermaus, and Carmen.
