Phi Alpha Theta is the International Honorary Historical Society. The Pi Mu Chapter of East Texas Baptist University began in 1970 with thirteen charter members.
Membership is open to all faculty, staff, and students. You must have at least 60 credit hours, an overall G.P.A. of 3.0, and a 3.0 G.P.A. in at least 12 credit hours of history.
