Students and faculty partner to achieve mutually established goals for education while working with community agencies to receive real-world clinical experiences. Our low student-to-professor ratios enable us to provide excellent individual attention to our students as they become professional nurses, including substantial support for their preparation for taking the nursing state board exam. Evidence of the return on this investment is our Professional Nursing program has enjoyed a 100% pass rate for the past 4 student cohorts.
The Bachelor of Science in Nursing is a four year program. Our pre-nursing program consists of two years of basic science and liberal arts courses. These courses are to prepare you to engage the advanced learning required within the Professional Nursing program. Many of these courses as well as others from other schools, community colleges or universities can be transferred in to facilitate students’ transition to our program. The opportunity for learning that is offered in the Professional Nursing program is focused on building clinical knowledge, skills, and wisdom to be applied as a professional nurse in a variety of roles and environments. In addition, what you learn here at ETBU positions you to continue your educational experience if you choose to pursue graduate study in your chosen area of practice within the nursing profession.
