Welcome to The Department of Nursing
Dean's Message
We have started the second semester in our academic year here at ETBU nursing. Students may feel as though they have climbed to the top of the mountain and are now coming down the other side. There are many struggles that come to students and faculty alike – ones that challenge us beyond what we believe we can endure. There is a promise provided in I Corinthians 10:13 that tells each of us who knows Christ Jesus as our Savior that we will never be laden with more than we can handle. As we rely on the Lord’s power and strength, we will achieve more than we think is possible.
Student Stories
The Long Road: A Blessing in Disguise
Nursing has been my choice of career since high school. As I have pursed my dream, nursing has evolved from a career into a mission. I started my coursework by taking classes at a local community college while still in high school. My desire was to complete my college education as quickly as I could and get into the real world as fast as possible. After graduation from high school, I worked full-time as a pharmacy technician while I was registered for a full course load. My goal was to attend University of Texas at Arlington, which was realized when I transferred to UTA the next year.
