CRIMINAL JUSTICE STUDENTS CURRICULUM REQUIREMENTS

GENERAL EDUCATION STATEMENT
All degrees offered at East Texas Baptist University have a liberal arts general education requirement.  The general education requirement is designed to develop basic skills in oral and written communication and computational analysis to support continued study in a variety of majors.  The liberal arts as endorsed at ETBU, includes exposure to and experience in a prescribed variety of disiplines.  This exposure is intended to support the development of critical reflection, problem solving, and moral/ethical reasoning. These skills are subsequently refined in upper-level coursework both within and outside the student's chosen major or minor.  These courses do not narrowly focus on skills, techniques, or procedures specific to a particular occupation or profession, but rather provide the opportunity for students to be broadly educated and to intergrate and see connections between and within disciplines.
