Dr. Annemarie Whaley, Professor of English, has a new article in publication: "I could teach you how to Choose Right: Using Holocaust Memoir to Teach Shakespeare's The Merchant of Venice," in Changing English, 18:4, December 2011.
 

Dr. Carolyn Rester, Professor of Communication, has had an article accepted for publication in the June, 2012, issue of the International Journal of Listening.  The title of the paper is "Bonnie's Problem: Using Effective Listening Responses."

Dr. Rester and Dr. Cole Franklin, Professor of Communication, have had an artilce published in the October, 2011, issue of Texas Speech Communication Journal Online. The article is entitled "Classroom Strategies for Engaging Students with Physical Disabilities: A Case Study. The article can be accessed at http://www.etsca.com/tscjonline/0911-disabilities/


Congratulations to Alicia Ethridge, ETBU senior, majoring in communication and psychology, who has had her honors project paper accepted for presentation at the Theodore Clevenger Undergraduate Honors Conference of the Southern States Communication Association convention, in April, 2012. The title of her project is "The Relationship between Self-Esteem and Interpretation of Nonverbal Immediacy."

Congratulations to graduating senior Caleb Stokes (BSE History) who begins the M.A. History program this fall at the University of Alabama - Birmingham.
