Theatre Performance Concentration
BACHELOR OF ARTS – THEATRE - PERFORMANCE CONCENTRATION
The Department of Theatre Arts offers pre-professional majors designed to provide a broad foundation for careers in theatre. The curriculum currently consists of courses in performance, as well as playwriting, theatre history, technical theatre, and design. The Performance concentration offers the Theatre Arts Major the opportunity to focus on performance aspects of theatre, specifically acting and directing. One of the two concentrations offered or a minor from another department must be selected.
This new core of classes and optional concentrations ensures students are well-rounded in their general understanding of all aspects of theatre, and are able to tailor their areas of interest into specializations; in this case, theatre performance.
