Sophocles' Oedipus Rex
The ETBU Hilltop Players, under the direction of Shane Fuller, tackled this story with a new twist. Taking inspiration from the 40's Film Noir style, the traditional black-and-white detective story, and the modern graphic novel; the story of Oedipus took on a new light - unpredictable, explosive, brooding, and engaging. "Great sight turned inward, leads to destruction." This was the concept that drove this production, taking the audience on Oedipus' journey of investigation that led to his ultimate devastation.
