From the Faculty
Dear Theatre Students:
Welcome to the ETBU Department of Theatre Arts!
This handbook has been prepared especially for you in order to acquaint you with the important aspects of the program and to provide answers to questions about the department’s policies and procedures. While obviously not every question will be answered, it is our hope that this handbook will provide enough insight to help you understand the opportunities and responsibilities available to you in the Department of Theatre Arts; the handbook will serve as a guide, helping you make the most of your academic studies here. We believe you will find this information very useful, so please read the entire handbook carefully.
Theatre majors invest a great deal of time and energy on multiple levels: class work, design and technical work, rehearsals, performances, etc. The faculty and staff are excited to begin that work with you in the months to come. We want you to make the most of every opportunity during your time with us, and, to that end, we are committed to helping you reach your utmost potential in an extremely competitive field.
Should you have questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to talk them over with your advisor or other faculty members. We are more than happy to assist you.
Best wishes for your studies and welcome to an exciting year!
Sincerely,
Traci Ledford, M.F.A.
