Justin Hodges

Dr. Justin Hodges is Director of Choral Activities and Assistant Professor of Music at East Texas Baptist University. Prior to his appointment at ETBU in 2009, he taught choral music for eight years at the junior high and high school levels in Killeen and Frisco, Texas. 

A native of Killeen, Texas, Dr. Hodges holds a BM in Music Education from Tarleton State University and the MM and DMA degrees in Choral Conducting from Texas Tech University.  While at Texas Tech, Dr. Hodges served as Assistant Director for University Choir and as Choral Department Manager.  His doctoral research produced a conductor's guide to Charles Villiers Stanford's Three Motets, op. 38.  His principal conducting teachers were Charles Rives, Kenneth Davis, and John Dickson.  His professional affiliations include Texas Music Educators Association, American Choral Directors Association, Texas Choral Directors Association, and Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia.
