Dr. Kristen Bugos

Assistant Professor of Music, Dr. Kristen Bugos, joins the faculty this Fall. 
Dr. Bugos serves as the Coordinator of Music Education and teaches the elementary music methods courses and the class piano and piano pedagogy courses.

Dr. Bugos completed her undergraduate music education degree with a combined emphasis in instrumental and vocal area from Houghton College in Houghton, NY.  She earned her Masters of Education degree from Indiana Wesleyan University in Marion, IN, and her Doctor of Philosophy Degree in Elementary Education with a concentration in music from the State University of New York in Buffalo.  In addition, she holds certifications in Orff-Schulwerk and the Gordon Institution for Music Learning.  She taught at the elementary music level for six years and has extensive publication and presentation credits to her name.  Before moving to Texas, Kristen also used her gifts to lead worship at the First Baptist Church of East Aurora.
