Common Concerns 

I need to get in touch with my student.

Contact Student Affairs at 903-923-2320. Request that a message be delivered to your student asking him/her to contact you. 

My student is ill and needs assistance in the residence hall.

Contact Student Affairs at 903-923-2320. Request to be connected to the Director of Residence Life. 

My student has concerns about his/her roommate.

Encourage your student to talk with his/her Resident Director about the concerns. 
If additional assistance is needed, encourage your student to schedule an appointment to visit with the Director of Residence Life. 

There is an emergency in our family. 

Contact Student Affairs at 903-923-2320. Request to be connected to the Administrative Assistant, Dean of Students, or Vice President. 

I would like information regarding my student's grades, attendance, behavior, etc.

Your student must sign a FERPA release in order for the University to share this information.
FERPA is the Family Education Rights and Privacy Act. 
The Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) (20 U.S.C. § 1232g; 34 CFR Part 99) is a Federal law that protects the privacy of student education records.
The FERPA release form is available in the Office of the Registrar.
