Alumni take 1st at flag football tourney in Cowboys Stadium

This past weekend Cody Finch and sever-al other ETBU alum-ni participated in the Flag Football X tournament held at Cowboys Stadium in Dal-las. Although the tournament was just for fun, our illustrious Alumni took it very seriously. After winning a number of games in preliminary com-petitions, he team won first place in their division, which consisted of 10 teams.The tournament was five on five and the team played six games total.The team played three games on Saturday at LD Bell Stadium in Hurst, Tx and had a record of 2-0-1 and was seeded in 1st place going into the playoffs on Sunday at Cowboys Stadium. They played 3 games and won their division of the tour-nament in the championship game against the Honey Bad-gers from Baton Rouge, LA.“There was only one game out of the 6 we played that was close, and that was the game we tied during pool play Saturday. We won every game by at least 12 points, if I remember correctly” said Finch.The Flag Football X tour-naments occur regularly and anyone can enter, but they’re not always played in Dallas.
