Students encourage campus involvement

Students are encouraged to participate in campus organizations. These were featured recently at the Student Organization Fair.The sororities and fraternities were advertising their upcoming rush weeks and encouraging fellow students to give Greek Life a try.“I hope people join so they can experience the same things I have being part of my sorority,” said Sophomore Michelle Gallimore.“I Love Delta because of the opportunities to serve in the community and the friendships that come with it,” said Gallimore who holds an officer position in Delta Pi Theta a service based sorority.Besides the Greek- based opportunities, representatives of other organizations gave students a glimpse of what their organizations do.Some of the organizations present at the fair include Charge Ministry, Barnabas, Release, Journey, Pi Sig, Image, Life Groups, BSM Missions, BSM Publicity, Kids Club, Communications, Prayer Ministry, Men and Women’s Bible studies, and Proof Seekers.Students who were unable to attend the fair can go on the school’s website and under the Current Students tab find a link for the Student Organizations.
