Employers seek ETBU students at Job Fair

ETBU will host the annual Job Fair on March 30 in Ornelas Gymnasium at 12:30–3 p.m.

“The time was changed this year solely because students requested it,” said Debbie Rogers, secretary of the advising and career development center. “We want as many students as possible to attend the Job Fair.” Full story

Cheerleaders host annual tryouts

ETBU's cheerleading is holding tryouts on April 24 in Keys Gymnasium. This is an opprtunity for students to become a part of the squad. Veteran cheerleaders will be judging the applicants and looking for experience. There will be a cheerleading clinic prior to tryouts on April 16-17.

Tigers snap seven-game losing streak

ETBU Baseball played at home against Jarvis Christian College on Tuesday, March 10. The Tigers started the season off 5-0 but then went on a seven game losing streak leading into Tuesday night’s game.

Fourteen aspiring young ladies will compete this spring for the Miss ETBU crown. Contestants include Lauren Charron, Andrea Dodd, Amie Dupre, Alice Gates, Mallory Harrell and Katey Hoffmann. Also Lindsay Hollowell, Mindy Kyle, Heather Matthews, Allison Meriwether, Alison Midkiff, Natalie Morrison, Alese Perkins and Amber Waldrip.

John Mark Francis, a political science major is campaigning for city commissioner. If elected he would be the youngest, at age 19, to have ever been elected as city commissioner in Marshall.
