Jarrett Library employs 20-25 student workers each semester and on April 11, 2008 an appreciation banquet was held in their honor.  Held in Edwards Conference Center, the students enjoyed a wonderful meal and then received their certificates of appreciation as well as an "essential piece" pin.  Student employees of the month for 2007-2008 were also recognized and the Spring recipients received their certificates.  The library staff and Dr. Paul Sorrels also received "essential piece" key chains as thanks for their part in making the library a success during the academic year.  The end of the program finished with a humorous video that included each student worker telling what they thought was the best part of working in the library as well as showing them at work in various capacities.
