Identifying Reserve Materials

• Access online catalog (TigerCat).
• Click on RESERVE DESK tab.
• Enter professor's name where indicated.
• Choose course number to view list of materials on reserve for course.
• Click on full details to view reserve status.
• Bring your request to the Circulation Desk where the material will be retrieved for you.

Circulation of Reserve Material

• Using Reserves
  • Users must have a valid ETBU ID in order to check out reserve materials.
  • Reserve items must be returned directly to the Circulation Desk.  Items not returned to the desk are subject to overdue fines.
  • Access to reserve materials is provided on a first come, first serve basis.  Library staff members cannot take reservations or hold materials.
• Loan Periods
  • Two-hour loans are for use in Jarrett Library for two hours; if checked out within the last two hours of library hours, due at closing.
  • Overnight loans are due the following day at opening.  This privilege is for faculty members only.
  • One-day loans are due one day from check out, by closing.
  • Three-day loans are due three days from check out, by closing.
• Returning Materials
  • Those using Library materials, whether in or out of the building, are responsible for any deterioration in the condition of the material while in their use, and for the safe and timely return of the materials to its proper location, the Circulation Desk.
  • Borrowers who lose or damage Library materials, including reserve materials, will be assessed a replacement (minimum $50.00 for books) and a $15.00 processing fee.  If a lost item is found and returned in good condition before the replacement has been ordered, the replacement cost will be refunded, but not the processing fee.
• Reserve Fines
  • Two hour loans = 25¢ per hour
  • One-day and three-day reserves = 25¢ per day
• Renewals
  • Reserve items may be renewed
  • Holds cannot be placed on reserve items.
