Finding Books and Other Materials in Jarrett Library
If you are trying to find books, CDs, videos, DVDs, or electronic resources you should first check TigerCat, the Jarrett Library online catalog. TigerCat also includes catalog records for materials housed in the Bennett Music Lab.
In TigerCat the item information will give you the following information.

Jarrett Library indicates that the material is housed in the main library. You may also see Music Library as an object which means the material is housed in the Bennett Music Lab in the Jenna Guest Music building.
PS261 .H534 2002 is the call number for the material and indicates where on the shelves it is located. Jarrett Library uses the Library of Congress Classification System which uses both letters and numbers.
Copy indicates how many copies are found in the library
Material indicates the format. In this case this is a book and it does circulate
Location indicates where in the library the book is found.
Although many journal titles are found in TigerCat it is recommended that you use the Journal Holdings Title List to get information on journals available through print, microform, and electronic formats.
If you are looking for a resource not available at Jarrett Library you may find it listed in WorldCat which allows you to search libraries world wide. Those resources may then be ordered through InterLibrary Loan.

Finding Articles, Books, and Other Resources Online
Journal articles are indexed in both print and online indexes and abstracts. Print indexes and abstracts are found at the back of main room of Jarrett Library on the index tables and shelves surrounding the tables.
Many of the online databases also contain links to full text articles, reports, ebooks, and more. If you know the title of the database you wish to use go to Electronic Resources by Title. If you are unsure where to begin choose from Electronic Resource by Subject.
