Individual Memberships Corporate Memberships

INDIVIDUAL MEMBERSHIPS
Members are those persons having membership rights and privileges in the Mary K. Armstrong Society in accordance with the Bylaws or Regulations.  Membership in The Society shall be open to any person who has expressed an interest in the purposes of The Society.  Membership may be divided into the following levels:
Individual Membership Levels 2010-2011 Charter Membership Fee*
Student $10
Friend's Circle $35
Scholar's Circle $75
University Librarian's Circle $175
Dean's Circle $625
Provost's Circle $1,750
President's Circle $3,800
Lifetime Circle $7,500
Collector's Circle $10,000

A person shall become a member of The Society by paying the dues prescribed by the Board of Directors.
Dues and membership levels for members may be established and/or changed from time to time by the Board of Directors.  Dues may vary from level to level of members.
*Dues for charter members (members who join from June 2010-May 2011) shall not be raised except in the following instances:  (1) the charter member moves from one membership level to a higher level, at which time regular dues increases will take affect; (2) membership is not renewed for two or  more years, at which time any subsequent membership in The Society will be subject to renewal at the current membership rate for that year with regular dues increases as prescribed by the Board of Directors; or (3) membership is terminated as prescribed in Section 1.05 (Code of Regulations) but subsequently reinstated.
 
Membership Benefits by Level
 
For security purposes only levels under $1,000.00 may be paid for by credit or debit card.  Amounts over $1,000.00 should be paid for by check.  Installment plans are also available for those amounts over $1,000.00.  See PDF form for more information.  Call 903-923-2257 if you need help.  Links are provided below for each membership level.

Student  ($10.00)

Provost's Circle  ($1,750.00)

  • Annual incentives 1-3
  • Checkout privileges for books
  • Research use of library computers
  • Use of application software on computers
  • Access to alumni databases
  • Annual dinner or lunchone hosted by the Provost/Vice-President for Academic Affairs
  • $500 is applied to the Library endowment fund

President's Circle  ($3,800.00)

  • Two-year membership
  • Annual incentives 1-3
  •  Checkout privileges for books
  • Research use of library computers
  • Use of application software on computers
  • Access to alumni databases
  • Annual dinner or luncheon hosted by the President
  • $1,000 is applied toward the Library’s endowment fund

  • Checkout privileges for books
  • Research use of library computers

  • Access to alumni databases
  • Invitation to all dinners/luncheons as specified in previous circles
  • $3,000 of amount is invested in the Library’s endowment fund

  • $75 is applied to the Library endowment fund

Collector’s Circle                 $10,000.00

·         Lifetime membership
·         Annual incentives 1-3
·         Checkout privileges for books
·         Research use of library computers
·         Use of application software on computers
·         Access to alumni databases
·         Invitation to all dinners/luncheons as specified in previous circles
·         Ability to name one collection within Jarrett Library
·         Entire amount goes toward purchasing a collection, either print or electronic.

Dean's Circle  ($625.00)

  • Annual Incentives 1-3
  • Checkout privileges for books
  • Research use of library computers
  • Access to alumni databases (including off-campus)
  • Annual dinner or luncheon hosted by one or more Academic Deans
  • $250 is applied to the Library endowment fund

Join the Society at this level:

 Separate donations to the annual fund for the Mary K. Armstrong Society or the Library Endowment Fund will also be accepted.

CORPORATE MEMBERSHIPS
Another organizaton, whether non-profit or for profit, or a partnership may become a member of The Society in accordance with the Bylaws or Regulations and having expressed an interest in the purposes of The Society.  Corporate membership may be divided into the following levels.

A corporation shall become a member of The Society by paying the dues prescribed by the Board of Directors.  One officially designated delegate or agent of a corporate member may represent said organization within The Society.  Corporate membership does not imply not should it be construed to mean that all employees, board members, or officers of said corporation are individual members of The Society.
