•	Football releases 2012 schedule
	MARSHALL, Texas (2/9/12) – East Texas Baptist’s 2012 football schedule begins with the Tigers playing just one home game through the first week of October but closing with three out of four games to be played in Ornelas Stadium against conference opponents.

•	Men's Basketball can clinch playoff berth with win Thursday over UT Tyler
	MARSHALL, Texas (2/8/12) – East Texas Baptist can lock up a third straight trip to the American Southwest Conference Men’s Basketball Tournament – something that has never been done since the Tigers joined the league back in 1998 – with a victory Thursday night in Ornelas Gymnasium.

•	Judge Sam B. Hall Jr. Lecture Series and Banquet, February 27 at ETBU
	MARSHALL, Texas (2/07/12)- The 2012 Sam B. Hall Jr. Lecture and Banquet will be held on Monday, February 27, at 7:00 p.m. in the Phillips Great Room on the first floor of the Bennett Student Commons at East Texas Baptist University. This endowed program commemorates the late U.S. Representative and federal judge Sam B. Hall, Jr., who was a Marshall native and an alumnus of the College of Marshall, which is now ETBU.

•	ETBU To Host Shadow Day, February 9-10, 2012
	MARSHALL, Texas (2/06/12)-High School seniors and college transfer students are invited to attend Shadow Day at East Texas Baptist University Thursday, February 9, through Friday, February 10, 2012. Shadow Day is an event sponsored by the ETBU Office of Admissions that gives visiting students an opportunity to experience campus life at the four year Christian liberal arts university.

•	Softball Opens at No. 19 in NFCA Top 25
	MARSHALL, Texas (2/2/12) Defending American Southwest Conference champion East Texas Baptist University is ranked No. 19 in the nation with the release of the 2012 National Fastpitch Coaches Association Top 25 Preseason Poll. The Tigers (36-9 in 2011) are one of three ASC East team ranked in the preseason poll with Texas-Tyler opening at No. 2 and Louisiana College No. 14.
