W BASKETBALL: Karlee Wilson named ASC East Player of the Week

MARSHALL, Texas (2/1/10) -- ETBU senior Karlee Wilson has been named the American Southwest Conference East Division Women's Basketball Player of the Week.

Wilson, a three-year letterwinner at ETBU from Hallsville, averaged 15.7 points and 10.7 rebounds to go along with 2.3 assists per game as the Lady Tigers (9-10, 7-7) went 3-0 and extended their season-long win streak to four games last week.

She had two doubles during the three-game stretch, including an 18-point, 10-rebound night in Thursday's win at Texas-Tyler. That came after Wilson had posted 11 points and 13 rebounds in a win over LeTourneau on Tuesday night.

Wilson capped the week with 18 points and nine boards in Saturday's non-conference win over Dallas.

Entering Tuesday night's game at LeTourneau, Wilson ranks second on the squad in scoring at 10.5 points per game while leading ETBU with 7.8 rebounds per game this season.
