Johnson named
to coaching staff
MARSHALL, Texas (6/21/09) – ETBU head coach Lane Loyd has announced the hiring of Lauren Johnson as assistant coach with the Tigers. Johnson comes to ETBU from Loras College, where she spent the last two seasons as an assistant coach in Dubuque, Iowa. Johnson, who earned a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) in May, played collegiately at Clarke College where she ranks in several all-time categories including scoring, steals and assists.

Harrell, Wilson named to All-ASC East team

Harrell (Dallas, TX/Midlothian) was named to the second-team, while Wilson (Hallsville, TX/Hallsville) was voted honorable mention. |

Season ends with loss in quarterfinals
PINEVILLE, La. (2/26/10) -- East Texas Baptist got off to a an ice-cold start offensively and never got untracked, scoring just seven first half points on the way to a 58-26 loss to ASC West Division champion Mary Hardin-Baylor in the first round of the American Southwest Conference Women's Basketball Championship Tournament Friday. The loss ended ETBU's season at 12-14. |

Tigers close out regular season with win at Ozarks
CLARKSVILLE, Ark. (2/20/10) -- Kelsey Harris scored 15 points and Emily Leek-Roberson added 13 as the Tigers cruised to a 82-59 win over University of the Ozarks in the regular season finale for both teams Saturday. The victory moves ETBU to 12-13 on the year with the Tigers set to return to the ASC Tournament for the first time in three years next week. |
