Fisher, Molling named to
NFCA All-West Region team
MARSHALL, Texas (5/7/08) – ETBU freshman third baseman Meghan Fisher and senior outfielder Jaimie Molling have been named to the National Fastpitch Coaches Association All-West Region team announced Tuesday by the NFCA.
Fisher, a freshman from Cypress, and Molling, a senior from Nacogdoches, were both at-large selections to the third-team. The two ETBU players were part of 21 players from the American Southwest Conference named to the All-West Region squad. Full Story

ETBU places 16 on spring ASC All-Academic team
MARSHALL, Texas (5/16/08) – Sixteen student-athletes from ETBU’s baseball and softball teams have been named to 2008 American Southwest Conference Spring All-Academic team. To be eligible for All-Academic honors, student-athletes must have lettered in the spring 2008 season, be in at least the second academic year at their institution or a certifying institution, and carry a cumulative grade-point average (GPA) of 3.0 or higher. In all, 332 student-athletes from the ASC’s 15 universities and colleges were named to the team. The sports included on the spring team were baseball, softball, tennis and track and field. Full Story
Nine Lady Tigers named All-ASC East Division
MARSHALL, Texas (5/6/08) – Nine ETBU Lady Tigers have been voted to the 2008 All-American Southwest Conference East Division team released Tuesday by the conference office. The team was selected with nominations and voting by the league’s head coaches. Senior Ashley Saulters (.373, 1 HR, 21 RBI) was the only Lady Tiger named to the first-team. Saulters, of Van, was the first-team designated player. Four Lady Tigers were named to the second-team, including all three starting outfielders. Junior Brandi Harris (.382, 21 RBI, 14 SB), of Van, the team’s leading hitter; senior Jaimie Molling (.341, 17 RBI, 22 SB), of Nacogdoches; and senior Karri Marshall (.375, 9 RBI, 15 SB), of Montgomery, were all named to the second-team. Junior right-hander Chelsea Trochta (10-3, 2.46 ERA), of Klein, was also named to the second-team. Full Story
