MARSHALL, Texas (11/6/07) – ETBU's Katie Graves, Jill Boyd and Jane Hays have been named to the 2007 All-American Southwest Conference Volleyball Team released Monday by the ASC office. The team, compiled after a vote by the league's 13 head coaches, includes the top eight players from both divisions in the conference. ETBU's trio gives the Lady Tigers, who finished with a 20-11 mark and in second place in the ASC East Division, the most players on the all-conference team. Graves, Boyd and Hays also earned first-team All-ASC East Division honors along with teammate Traci Twardowski, giving ETBU the most first-teamers elected to the All-ASC East squad as well. RICHARDSON, Texas (11/2/07) – The third time was the charm for McMurry Friday against ETBU, as the Lady Tigers couldn't complete a rally from a 2-1 deficit and lost a heartbreaking 3-2 decision to McMurry in the first round of the American Southwest Conference Volleyball Championship Tournament here at UT Dallas. | MARSHALL, Texas (10/27/07) -- ETBU rallied from a 2-1 hole in Saturday's regular season finale in Ornelas Gym and escaped with a 3-2 win over Mary Hardin-Baylor in American Southwest Conference East Division volleyball action. With the win, ETBU (20-10, 14-3) closes out the regular season as the second-place team in the ASC East. The Lady Tigers will face McMurry in the first round of the ASC tournament on Friday at noon at UT Dallas in Richardson. FULL STORY |
