ETBU has partnered with Herring Bank for the disbursement of student refunds. If you have a credit balance on your student account and you have received a MasterCard Debit Student ID (Tiger Card), your student refund will be deposited into that account.
How do you know if you have the MasterCard Debit Student ID (Tiger Card)? If your Tiger Card looks like the one below (e. g. has the MasterCard logo on it), you have the MasterCard Debit Student ID.
When your student refund is posted to the account, you will be notified by e-mail (your ETBU Tigermail account). You must activate your card in order to access your refund. You can do this by performing a PIN transaction with the PIN you chose when the card was issued. You can process the PIN transaction by doing a free Balance Inquiry at the ATM located in the Ornelas Student Center.
For the fall semester, student refunds are processed (approximately) beginning with the second full week of September and continue through the end of the term. For the spring semester, refunds are processed (approximately) beginning with the first week of February and continue through the end of the term.
If you did not receive a MasterCard Student ID Debit Card or you would like to designate your refund to be deposited into another account, visit the “Designate Direct Deposit” link under the Student Information tab in CampusConnect. Once you’ve accessed this option, follow the instructions to designate the account for your student refund.
If you did not receive a MasterCard Student ID Debit Card or designate an account of your choosing for your student refund, you will receive a paper check mailed to the address you have on file in the Registrar’s Office. It is your responsibility to make sure the address is correct.
