Each year, during the month of Novermber, the ETBU Alumni Association hosts the "real World Survival" Senior Etiquette Dinner. All upcoming December and May graduates receive a special invitation to attend a formal, four course dinner complete with dining and etiquette instruction. Dr. Susan Quiring, owner of Susan's Ballroom Dance & Etiquette in Huntsville, Tx. takes the students through the do's and don'ts of dining etiquette. she covers topics that range from proper cutting of your entree to cell phone etiquette at the table. She instructs in American and Continental dining techniques and also reserves thirty minutes at the end of the meal to discuss interview attire, and resumes. Each student is provided with a detailed, spiral bound book that has all of Dr. Quiring's etiquette information, a multitude of dress and interview informations, and several sample resumes. The Alumni Association understands that ETBU provides each student with a sound academic base for their future, we believe that it is our job to complete that education by giving them the etiquette training they need to give them an edge above all other college graduates.
