The Alumni Association of East Texas Baptist University seeks to be an active agent whereby the Alumni of the College of Marshall, East Texas Baptist College, and East Texas Baptist University may:
successfully advance the influence, interests, and objectives of the University; plan and implement meaningful activities promoting fellowship among all her Alumni; provide an avenue of communication between the University and her Alumni; be an effective agent of student enlistment and financial support, ensuring the future growth of East Texas Baptist University.
All monies collected for Alumni Association membership are added to the Alumni Association Endowment. All monies collected from the Kroger Plus card program, the ETBU Travel website and memorials are added to the Rufus Spraberry Alumni Scholarship Fund. This scholarship was established by Doris Spraberry in memory of her husband and in connection with the Alumni Association of East Texas Baptist University for dependents of Alumni who maintain a grade point average of 2.0 or better. This generous contribution has assisted many family members of Alumni who have chosen to make ETBU a family tradition. The endowment currently stands at $180,000, with the hope of reaching $200,000 by 2008.

Membership benefits are the same as for annual membership, but also include:
- Lifetime membership ID card
- 10% discount in ETBU bookstore
- ETBU coffee mug
- ETBU tote bag, pen and bookmark - Free access to campus athletic events and selected theatrical productions (excluding football games)
