Many of you only have a few more weeks of school until your high school career is over or you are about to transfer from your current college to ETBU. Here are a few things to add to your list of things to do...
- Check with your Admissions Counselor to make sure that all of your paperwork has been turned in to the Admissions Office. You can contact ETBU by calling 800-804-ETBU and get in touch with your Admissions Counselor. Getting paperwork turned in now can free up some time to have fun during the summer. Here are the forms that most people are missing to complete their Admissions file.

Housing Form
Signature Page (print and sign bottom of page 3)
Honor Agreement (print and sign page 4)
- Make sure that you have paid your $25 application fee. You will not be accepted or awarded financial aid until that fee is received in the Admissions office.
- Request your FINAL high school transcript to be sent to ETBU. Once you graduate, we will need an official high school transcript (in a sealed envelope from the school) with your final grades and date of graduation. Request that from the school as soon as it is available! Also, if you have taken any dual enrollment classes, have your final college transcripts sent as soon as possible!
Early registration for Fall 2008 has already begun, so it is important for you to get your paperwork turned in as soon as possible so you will be able to register for classes!
Other things to remember:
- You can take the ACT or SAT tests again to improve your chances of being awarded a larger academic scholarship. ETBU offers you the largest possible scholarship based on the combination of your highest composite test score and GPA. ETBU also offers the residual ACT test, which is the same test as the National ACT test, but the scores are only valid at ETBU.
Upcoming test dates are June 9, July 14, and August 11, 2008. The cost is $42 and you can find out more or register for the test by calling the ETBU Advising Office at 903-923-2076.
- Apply for financial aid. Here are some helpful hints to get you started.
- Submit an Application for Admission and Financial Aid to ETBU.
- Submit separate church-related applications (if applicable)
- Obtain a Personal Identification Number (PIN) for students and parents at www.pin.ed.gov. This is what you and your parents will use to electronically file the FAFSA. You may do this now. It take about a week to receive your PIN(s).
- As soon as possible, submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). The FAFSA is available on-line at www.fafsa.ed.gov. The ETBU code is 003564. You will use the previous year's income tax information.
The ETBU Financial Aid Office has already begun awarding financial aid for the 2008-2009 academic year. Remember that all ETBU scholarship funds are based on a first come/first serve basis, so make sure that you make this a priority!
