ACADEMIC SCHOLARSHIPS
FRESHMEN ACADEMIC SCHOLARSHIPS Academic scholarships at ETBU are based on a combination of ACT/SAT (excluding Writing) and recalculated high school gpa. This allows students to be awarded on a more complete picture of the student's ability. The amounts listed below are for new students beginning Fall 2008 and Spring 2009.
PRESIDENTIAL SCHOLARSHIP - $6,500 per academic year - Must maintain a 3.2 GPA for renewal.
HONOR SCHOLARSHIP - $5,500 per academic year - Must maintain a 3.0 GPA for renewal.
DEAN SCHOLARSHIP - $4,500 per academic year - Must maintain a 2.75 GPA for renewal.
ACHIEVEMENT GRANT - $2,200 per academic year - Must maintain a 2.0 GPA for renewal.
NATIONAL MERIT SEMI-FINALIST - An additional $2,000 added to original amount of academic scholarship.

TRANSFER ACADEMIC SCHOLARSHIPS Academic scholarships for transfer students are based on transfer gpa. Students must have at least 24 transferable hours to be considered for these scholarships.
TRANSFER HONOR SCHOLARSHIP - $5,500 per academic year - Must have at least a 3.25 transfer GPA. Must maintain a 3.0 GPA for renewal.
TRANSFER DEAN SCHOLARSHIP - $4,500 per academic year - Must have between a 2.75 and 3.24 transfer GPA. Must maintain a 2.75 for renewal.
TRANSFER ACHIEVEMENT GRANT- $2,200 per academic year - Must have between a 2.5 and 2.749 transfer GPA. Must maintain a 2.5 for renewal.
CHURCH-RELATED SCHOLARSHIPS
CHRISTIAN LEADERSHIP SCHOLARSHIP - $1,000 - $4,000 annually
Scholarship is awarded to students who demonstrate leadership qualities in their church or Christian organizations on campus. Student provides information for this scholarship on the initial Application for Admission and Financial Aid. Updates may be submitted to the Admissions Counselor throughout the application process. Scholarship is renewable for four years if 2.0 GPA is maintained.
CHRISTIAN EDUCATION COOPERATIVE GRANT - ETBU will match home church's contribution up to $500 per academic year. Separate application required.
MINISTRY SCHOLARSHIP -Initial applicants must be a member in good standing of a Baptist Church (regardless of denominational affiliation or geographical location)Applications available here or by contacting the School of Christian Studies office.
- Renewals must be signed by the pastor of a church cooperating with the Baptist General Convention of Texas
- Provide local approval (certification), license or ordination papers from a Baptist church
- Participate in Advance in Ministry program and complete Religion 2340 (Ministry Formations) before graduation
- Be an ETBU student in good standing
- Submit annual renewal application through the School of Christian Studies Office
- $60 per semester hour
ADDITIONAL SCHOLARSHIPS
PILGRIM'S PRIDE SCHOLARSHIP - $500 - $3,000 per academic year
Awarded to employees of Pilgrim's Pride Industries and their dependents.
MUSIC and THEATRE SCHOLARSHIPS -
- Are available by demonstrating an exceptional level of performance during an on-campus audition. Dates for auditions may be obtained through the Music and Theatre Departments
