Blackboard Embedded Librarian Pilot Project

Purpose:
The Instruction & Information Services office of the Jarrett Library at ETBU is proposing the integration of an instruction/reference librarian into the Blackboard LMS for up to 5 specific hybrid courses offered during the Fall 2012 semester.

Proposal:
The Embedded Librarian Pilot Project will explore the benefits and obstacles associated with the immersion of a librarian faculty member in the curriculum to address students’ course-related research needs in an online platform recognizable to students.

Term:
The pilot project will be offered during the Fall 2012 semester: August 2012 to December 2012
